Our staff are YFC's #1 asset. We have a great crew of people who have committed themselves to ensuring the Westman area is a place where young people can find hope - hope for the future, for life's challenges, for employment, for getting life on track even when challenges try to throw us off. It is our dream that no young person ever has to go hungry - spiritually, physically, relationally or emotionally.

We are looking for staff who love God and care about young people. If those things describe you, then Youth for Christ may be the perfect place for you. Contact us if you are interested in exploring a staff position here.

Youth Worker

Bryce’s information coming soon!

Youth Worker
Jennifer came to the Uturn team, as a youth worker, because she was inspired by the way we help those who are struggling and she is excited to work together with the youth in our community. She has her Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychology and uses it to help people make the most of their lives and to know Jesus more.
Jennifer is laid back, with a hidden stubborn streak and a craving for travel that is always bubbling beneath the surface. Her success in cooking is generally limited to pizza and brownies. She is easily pleased by many things, including but not limited to, dogs, books, flowers, guitars, recycling, organic chocolate, hearing people’s stories, and working on a team of fabulous people for a life-changing purpose. Feel free to hunt her down around town, stop her, and get a coffee together. She would love to talk to you about how God is working in her life and in the lives of Brandon’s youth.  Ask her how you can become involved in this ministry that has captivated her!
Director of Operations

Shaun began working with Youth For Christ in Uturn about 2 years ago as a Youth Worker, and recently stepped into the role of Director of Operations. Shaun loves his new role as it gives him the ability to not only mentor youth from homelessness to independence, but share that experience and ask others to join in as well. Shaun is a certified teacher and loves walking alongside staff, volunteers, and youth, hearing their stories and spending time sharing with them, and learning from them.

Shaun has a lovely wife Vicki, and two beautiful daughters, Emily and Kylie. They are the joy of his heart and they drive him to become the man he desires to be. Shaun is the tallest member of the Youth for Christ family. You’ll find him ducking through a few doorways and driving larger than average cars. He loves to play volleyball and spend time working out at the gym. When you encounter his towering frame in the community – take a minute and join him in enjoying a cup of coffee. He would love to hear your story and share more of his stories with you too!

Development Manager

Wayne currently works with the ministry of Uturn, specifically Uturn 3 as Development Manager. He has worked with YFC since 1998, beginning with MacGregor/ Gladstone as Area Director for 11 years before moving over to Uturn. Wayne is also a certified counselor and finds people fascinating. The greatest privilege of his role is to be able to hear the stories of the people he works with.

Wayne has been married to Julie for 16 years and they have three fantastic children; Olivia, Grace and Cooper. Family time is essential for Wayne and he loves going for bike rides, playing indoor hockey, visiting the park or making living room tents with his kids. In his leisure time Wayne enjoys playing the guitar, fishing and just relaxing on his deck with Julie.
