ABOUT US<\/span><\/h2>\n

We are a Satellite of Kawartha Youth Unlimited.<\/p>\n

From Bancroft to Fenelon Falls, from Haliburton to Peterborough, we believe transformed youth have the opportunity to transform communities, our country, and the world. We see the hope and potential in every young person we meet and reach through community specific programs.<\/p>\n

In 2007 Haliburton Highlands Youth Unlimited began to serve the community through the Bridge Youth Centre. Over the years HHYU has served the youth in various ways, from drop in centers, after school groups and community events. Although the ways we serve the youth in our communities changes one thing remains the same. Youth are longing for connection and purpose, we strive to provide programs and adult mentors who will come along side youth and help them in their journey of reaching their full potential as God has designed it.<\/p>\n

Kyle and Leanne Young have 10 years experience working with at-risk youth in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.\u00a0 They moved back to Haliburton Highlands in 2020 with their two young sons.\u00a0 With the rise of mental health concerns among our young people, Kyle and Leanne have a passion to see every youth in Haliburton County reach their full potential emotionally, physically, academically and spiritually.\u00a0 Their desire is to raise volunteers to come alongside Haliburton County Youth by creating opportunities for youth to find connection, purpose and hope.\u00a0 They are excited for the new opportunities to come in this next season in Haliburton Highlands Youth Unlimited Satellite.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\n\n

Who We Are<\/h4>\n

Haliburton Highlands Youth Unlimited is a satellite of Kawartha Youth for Christ, working together with local residents, businesses, churches, schools and government for the youth of our county.<\/p>\n

Through strategic partnerships and our own endeavors, it is our vision to see the lives of youth in Haliburton and surrounding area attain their full life potential as God designed it.<\/div>\n

Not for Profit 2025 Award.<\/h3>\n

In 2024 the Young’s relaunched\u00a0the Bridge Youth Centre at 2 Victoria St after 7 long years of not having a physical place to call their own. They launched 3 new after school program in 2025 reaching over 60 youth each week. Through partnerships with the schools and Lakeside Church and their 3 after school programs and monthly gym nights they were able to support over 150 youth in their first year of operations. In October of 2025 The Haliburton Chamber of Commerce awarded them as the Not-For- Profit of the year for the impact they are making by investing in the youth of our county!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
