Consider volunteering at Kawartha Lakes Youth Unlimited in one of the following ways:<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Steering Team Member:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0The purpose of a Steering Team is to provide vision, support, encouragement and prayer for the community and our staff person serving in that community.<\/p>\n

Program Volunteers:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0we typically ask for program volunteers to be involved in one youth program for one school year or one full week of summer camp. Youth programs include, after-school programs, cooking programs, summer camp and more!<\/p>\n

Volunteer Assistant:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0the volunteer assistant role is to support program staff in making the programs we offer more awesome. Volunteer assistants typically help with set-up, takedown, preparing food, running games and generally supporting the program in whatever way is needed. This is a great entry-level position. We typically ask for volunteer assistants to commit to one program for one school year, or a week of camp, but this position is more flexible.<\/p>\n

Volunteer Drivers:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0Help us by driving kids to and from camp experiences. You must be 25, have a G drivers license and $2 million liability insurance on your vehicle.<\/p>\n

Baking & Snack Support Volunteers:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>Bake and drop off baked goods for programs or come in during a program to prepare snack\/dinner for the youth.<\/p>\n

Event Volunteers:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>The ideal event volunteer is someone who wants to get involved with Youth Unlimited, but can\u2019t commit to a regular program. Event volunteers are contacted whenever we have a special event coming up that we need extra support with. Depending on the event, some or no screening may be required. Event volunteers have the freedom to say \u2018yes\u2019 or \u2018no\u2019 to whatever events they are interested in helping out with.<\/p>\n

Guest Speaker:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0We would love for you to visit a program and share about your profession and how you live out your faith!<\/p>\n

Community Engagement:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0Youth Unlimited does our best to stay connected to the various events that are happening in our community and churches, as well as making sure we are up to date on all that the City of Kawartha Lakes has to offer! If you are connected to a church, agency or business that we have a partnership with or could benefit from being connected to, we would love to chat about having you in a liaison role keep us connected.<\/p>\n
