We didn\u2019t have any programs that day, as we were refreshing the building and taking the final week before the holidays to plan for the upcoming season in 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"y-intro--upper--right\">\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"y-c-img extend\">\n\t\t<div class=\"y-c-img--extend medium\" style=\"background-image: url(https:\/\/yfc.ca\/london\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/58\/2023\/03\/OPENED-DOORS-1.png);\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"y-c-img--contain\">\n\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/yfc.ca\/london\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/58\/2023\/03\/OPENED-DOORS-1.png\" alt=\"\" \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n\r\n\t<div class=\"y-intro--lower\">\r\n\t\t<div class=\"grid-narrow\">\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"y-intro--lower--left\">\r\n\r\n\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"y-intro--lower-content\"><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ring-ring, ring-ring. It was the youth entrance door. On the video monitor we could see a youth peering into the camera, wondering where we were. We quickly ran back and let him know that there was no programming that night, but we\u2019d look forward to seeing him in the new year.\u00a0 He understood \u2013 and fortunately, we caught his parents in time!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">20 minutes later, it happened again. Another quick conversation, another understanding youth.\u00a0 And then, again!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I haven\u2019t been able to get that image of the youth peering into the camera out of my mind.\u00a0 Throughout the fall, we were praying for God to bring us young people to connect with, to care for, to walk alongside through the ongoing challenges of the pandemic recovery zone we all continue to navigate.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We\u2019ve prayed for open doors \u2013 for the ability to connect in person, and God has answered.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We\u2019ve prayed for increased connections \u2013 for the ability to reach more young people, and God has answered.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We\u2019ve prayed for the strength and the resources needed to hold those doors open \u2013 for the ability to share the love of Jesus with each young person who connects with YFC London, and we believe God will answer that prayer too.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eugene Peterson liked to say he wanted to \u201cfollow the scent of the Holy Spirit,\u201d like a hound that catches the scent of a rabbit.
