Hi, my name is Ashley and I\u2019ll be leading our devotional today. This month, our theme is the Psalms. Before we begin, let\u2019s pray together. <\/span><\/p>\n

Lord, quiet my mind, soften my heart, open my ears.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Today we\u2019ll be reading from Psalms chapter 17, verses 6-8.. I am going to read it from the New Century Version.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I call to you, God, and you answer me.Listen to me now, and hear what I say.Your love is wonderful.<\/strong><\/div>\n

By your power you save those who trust you from their enemies.Protect me as you would protect your own eye.<\/strong><\/div>\n
Hide me under the shadow of your wings.<\/strong><\/div>\n

What are you calling to God with?<\/p>\n

How has he answered you?<\/span><\/p>\n

We will close with an ancient prayer for God\u2019s peace and protection as we entrust ourselves into His care.<\/span><\/p>\n

O God,<\/span>
\n<\/span> from whom all holy desires, all good counsels,<\/span>
\n<\/span> and all just works do proceed:<\/span>
\n<\/span> give to your servants that peace<\/span>
\n<\/span> which the world cannot give;<\/span>
\n<\/span> that our hearts may be set to obey your will;<\/span>
\n<\/span> and that we, being defended from the fear of our enemies,<\/span>
\n<\/span> may pass our time in rest and quietness;<\/span>
\n<\/span> through Jesus Christ our Lord.<\/span>
