Part 1: Inward Focus<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

Hello, and welcome. The Scripture for today\u2019s e-pray is Ephesians 3:16, 17, and our theme this month is \u201cRooted.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In this text, Paul prays that we would be \u201crooted and established in love.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Roots grow quietly beneath the surface. We rarely see them, but they are what hold the tree steady when the wind comes. They draw life from the soil and allow the tree to flourish.<\/span><\/p>\n

As we move into prayer, imagine your life like a tree.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Your roots are reaching deep, down into the love of Christ.<\/span><\/p>\n

Take a slow breath.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let your shoulders relax.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Let the busyness of the day settle for a moment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Just as roots grow slowly and steadily into the soil, allow your heart to settle into God’s presence.<\/span><\/p>\n

You don\u2019t have to force anything in prayer.<\/span>
\n<\/span>You don\u2019t need to have the perfect words.<\/span><\/p>\n

Simply be present with God.<\/span><\/p>\n

Imagine your roots growing deeper into His love\u2026<\/span>
\n<\/span>drawing strength, peace, and life from Him.<\/span><\/p>\n

And as you rest in His presence, allow your heart to listen.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ephesians 3:16-17\u00a0 <\/span>New Living Translation<\/span><\/p>\n

I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. <\/span>Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God\u2019s love and keep you strong.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Prayerfully reflect on these questions:<\/span><\/p>\n

What does it mean for me personally to be \u201crooted in love\u201d rather than rooted in performance or approval?<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Pause<\/em><\/p>\n

When do I feel most grounded in my faith? What contributes to that<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Pause<\/em><\/p>\n

What beliefs or truths anchor me when life feels unstable?<\/span><\/p>\n

Pause<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Part 2: Outward Focus<\/b><\/p>\n

Think of the young people you know:<\/p>\n

Where might God already be quietly growing roots in the lives of the young people you know?<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Pause<\/em><\/p>\n

What kind of spiritual environment do young people need most right now?<\/span>

\n<\/span><\/p>\n

How can we pray for deeper roots in the next generation?<\/span><\/p>\n

Part 3: Closing Prayer<\/b><\/p>\n

As we move into our day and our full schedules, let\u2019s remain mindful of our rootedness in Christ, as we close with an ancient prayer:<\/span><\/p>\n

O God,<\/span>
\n<\/span> from whom all holy desires, all good counsels,<\/span>
\n<\/span> and all just works do proceed:<\/span>
\n<\/span> give to your servants that peace<\/span>
\n<\/span> which the world cannot give;<\/span>
\n<\/span> that our hearts may be set to obey your will;<\/span>
\n<\/span> and that we, being defended from the fear of our enemies,<\/span>
\n<\/span> may pass our time in rest and quietness;<\/span>
\n<\/span> through Jesus Christ our Lord.<\/span>
\n<\/span> Amen.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\n\n
