Thank you for joining me in this time of reflection and prayer together.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As many of us gather for National Ministry Conference this month, our attention turns toward the ways God renews, restores, and calls us forward together in ministry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This time of year, much of our country is well into spring. Trees are budding, grass is returning, and the earth feels alive again after a long winter. There is something hopeful about watching new life emerge, and yet, even the beauty of spring is temporary. Seasons continue to change. Spring gives way to summer, summer to fall, and eventually back into winter again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The hope we have in Christ is different. Scripture tells us we have been given a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus \u2014 a hope that does not fade with seasons or circumstances. A hope rooted in something eternal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As we begin, I invite you to take a few slow breaths,\u00a0 settling into God\u2019s presence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Breathe in: \u201cYou are living hope.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Breathe out: \u201cMy hope is in You.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today\u2019s Scripture comes from 1 Peter 1:3\u20135:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cPraise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God\u2019s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As you reflect on these words, allow yourself to rest in the permanence of God\u2019s promises.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Where in your life do you find yourself longing for renewal or fresh hope? Invite God into that place now.<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pause<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>What does it mean to you that your hope in Christ is living and eternal \u2014 not fragile or temporary like the changing seasons?<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pause<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>As you enter this season of ministry and gathering, how might God be inviting you to trust Him more deeply with the future?<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pause<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><b>Part 2: Outward Focus<\/b><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As we listen to this passage again, let\u2019s turn our hearts toward the young people we serve.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cPraise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade\u2026\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many young people today are searching for something steady \u2014 something lasting in a world that often feels uncertain and constantly changing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Think of one young person in your life right now who may especially need hope.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>What burdens or uncertainties might this young person be carrying today? Pray that they would encounter the living hope found in Christ.<br \/>\n<\/strong>Pause<\/p>\n<p><strong>How can you reflect the steadiness and faithfulness of God to the youth you serve \u2014 especially in moments when life feels unstable or discouraging?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Pause<\/p>\n<p><strong>What would it look like for our ministries to become places where young people experience not just encouragement for today, but lasting hope for eternity?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Pause<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><b style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Part 3: Closing Prayer<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We end this time together with the Wesleyan Covenant Prayer.
