Part 1: Inward Focus<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

Thank you for joining me in this week\u2019s e-pray. This month\u2019s theme is based on the Old Testament related to ministry.<\/span><\/p>\n

God has promised to restore us not just physically but also spiritually. No matter how messed up our lives feel in the moment, God offers us a fresh start.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

As we prepare our heart, mind and soul to receive what God has en-store for us let us settle in. Take a deep breath in saying \u201cHere I am Jesus\u201d and exhale \u201cI am listening\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s do it again. Inhale \u201chere I am Jesus\u201d. And exhale \u201cI am listening\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ezekiel 36: 26-27 NIV\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

God promises to replace a heart of stone with a heart of flesh. Is there an area of your life that has become hard, guarded, or resistant? Invite God into that place now.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\nWhere in your life have you resisted God’s love, guidance, or invitation? What would it look like to receive His Spirit and become more open and responsive to Him?<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n

What might God be inviting you to surrender, trust, or embrace as He gives you a new heart and a new spirit?<\/strong><\/div>\n

Part 2: Outward Focus<\/strong><\/p>\n

As I reread this passage, think of a young person in your life that may need to hear this word today. Someone who needs the hope of a promised fresh start and restoration.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Ezekiel 36: 26-27 NIV\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

God promises a new heart and a new spirit. Where does this young person most need God’s renewing work today? Take a moment to pray for them by name.<\/strong><\/p>\n

God’s Spirit is able to change hearts in ways we never could. Release this young person into God’s care and ask His Spirit to move powerfully in their life.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Is God bringing to mind a way you can encourage, listen to, or support this young person this week? Sit with that invitation before Him.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Part 2: Closing Prayer<\/b><\/p>\n

We\u2019ll close with an ancient prayer for our Father\u2019s peace and protection as we entrust ourselves to His care:<\/span><\/p>\n

O God,<\/span>
\n<\/span> from whom all holy desires, all good counsels,<\/span>
\n<\/span> and all just works do proceed:<\/span>
\n<\/span> give to your servants that peace<\/span>
\n<\/span> which the world cannot give;<\/span>
\n<\/span> that our hearts may be set to obey your will;<\/span>
\n<\/span> and that we, being defended from the fear of our enemies,<\/span>
\n<\/span> may pass our time in rest and quietness;<\/span>
\n<\/span> through Jesus Christ our Lord.<\/span>
\n<\/span> Amen.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\n\n
