He has also had the opportunity to serve young people internationally in Haiti and Jamaica, as well as on a First Nations community in northern Quebec. Through these experiences, Louis has witnessed the joys, challenges, dreams, and ever-changing culture of young people. He has seen firsthand the positive impact that compassionate leaders and a safe place to belong can have on a student&#8217;s life.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"y-intro--upper--right\">\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"y-c-img contain\">\n\t\t<div class=\"y-c-img--extend \" style=\"background-image: url(https:\/\/yfc.ca\/timmins-region\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2021\/11\/ChatGPT-Image-Jul-21-2026-10_46_46-AM.png);\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"y-c-img--contain\">\n\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/yfc.ca\/timmins-region\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2021\/11\/ChatGPT-Image-Jul-21-2026-10_46_46-AM.png\" alt=\"\" \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n\r\n\t<div class=\"y-intro--lower\">\r\n\t\t<div class=\"grid-narrow\">\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"y-intro--lower--left\">\r\n\r\n\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"y-intro--lower-content\"><p>Throughout his life, many people close to Louis have faced what seemed like hopeless circumstances, including substance abuse, suicidal thoughts, broken homes, domestic violence, homelessness, and other difficult situations. Yet he has also witnessed the transforming power of compassion, the love of Christ, and faith at work in people&#8217;s lives. His passion for serving those who are hurting and searching for hope began in high school, where he developed a desire to see people the way Jesus did and to follow His example.
