About YFC St Pierre:<\/strong><\/p>\n

For nearly 30 years, Youth for Christ has existed in St-Pierre-Jolys, creating a safe space for teenagers to build impactful relationships with caring adults, all the while exploring faith in an invitational way. Our team currently has 7 staff and over 25 volunteers who are committed to the mission of seeing every young person living fully in Christ. We offer many programs including: guys night, girls night, drop-in, adventure club, lunch program, work training, family hour, and sports nights.<\/p>\n

The Project:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The youth center in St-Pierre-Jolys was originally an old movie theatre that we converted into a functional youth centre. After many years of steady use, our building is in need of some upgrades.<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Phase 1<\/span> – Upstairs Renovations<\/strong> included creating much needed office space, a multipurpose room and a music room with a recording studio.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Phase 2 – <\/span>Kitchen Refresh<\/strong> included upgrading the canteen and kitchen area to serve and prepare food for programs. <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Phase 3 –\u00a0 Our final big update to the facility, bringing the project to its completion. <\/strong>It includes:\n

    • ENTRANCE & EXTERIOR – Updating our worn and deteriorating exterior with a brand new timberframe entrance, new doors, windows, signage and fresh paint, making our building more inviting and appealing to newcomers.<\/li>\n
    • INCREASED FUNCTIONALITY – Maximizing underused spaces to suit our needs: new built in seating that doubles as extra storage cabinets; repurposing space under staircase; renovating our vestibule to create space for boots, shoes and jackets; adding sound dampening panels.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • GREATER ACCESSIBILITY – An exterior wheelchair ramp, and an accessible push button for the doors.<\/li>\n
    • LIGHTING & INTERIOR – Updating the dim movie theatre lighting with more light fixtures, new windows and fresh paint to provide a warmer, brighter environment.<\/li>\n
    • ENCOURAGE COMMUNITY USE – Our refreshed and more functional space will be sought after for group rentals and events such as: birthday parties, sports team windups, family gatherings and school groups greatly blessing the community of St-Pierre and surrounding area!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
