When we first started our weekly rock climbing program this past year, we were unsure how it would go. As with any new program, we knew we were starting small, but hoping to build momentum in our first year back towards running a regular weekly program time at The Rock.<\/p>\n

For the first two weeks we only had one youth come out, Cole. He enjoyed the space and the free opportunity to pursue his passion of rock climbing. A few weeks later he invited 4 of his friends who are now attending regularly. It has been really cool to watch this small group of friends grow in maturity, climbing, and leadership skills.<\/p>\n

I have also been really encouraged watching the group as a whole grow in their respect of and interest in our God talks. While the main draw was the climbing wall, we have been taking time each night to have a God Talk where we have been discussing the Fruits of The Spirit. This has been a really good opportunity to link our
\ndiscussions week to week, and get everyone more involved by challenging them to remember things from past lessons and quizzing them on what\u2019s coming up. I have also challenged them to memorize Galatians 5:22-23 the passage on the Fruits of The Spirit. A couple of them had it within the first few weeks! We are
\nthankful for how this year progressed and the relationships we were able to make. Please pray for these youth and The Rock as we continue to grow this program.<\/p>\n
