Matthew Sweeney

Artistic Coordinator

With nearly 20 years of experience in music, creative arts, youth programming, and ministry, he has spent much of his life bringing people together through creativity and connection. As a songwriter, producer, and professional musician, he has toured across North America, Europe, and Japan, released multiple albums, and worked with artists and organizations across Canada and beyond. His music and creative work have been featured on prominent television and radio outlets, as well as international advertising campaigns, and his career includes a Juno Award nomination.

His creative work also includes branding, graphic design, and creative consulting, helping artists, organizations, and businesses bring their ideas to life and communicate who they are.

He has spent many years working with young people through camps, arts programming, workshops, and creative projects, helping youth discover their gifts and build confidence. His ministry experience as a worship leader and music director has given him a love for building teams, mentoring volunteers, and connecting people with faith through music.

As Artistic Coordinator with YFC Kawartha Lakes, he is excited to bring these experiences together to create meaningful opportunities for youth and share the hope of Christ.

Outside of work, he enjoys time in nature, creative projects, art films, and as much Indian food as possible.
