Margaret's Testimony
Born in Kelowna, and a Nanaimo local since 8 years old — many of my best memories in early years of life were made at various local church and youth events. As a teen, I built meaningful relationships and made amazing memories while also growing in my faith at our church’s youth group. I am so thankful for those years and realize now how instrumental they were — not only for my own walk with the Lord, but also in preparing me for ministry.
Starting in 2023, I began serving in worship and youth ministry at our local church where I attend with my husband, Jesse, and our son, Stryder. Most recently, God has opened the door for me to join the staff team of Youth for Christ in Nanaimo. Through various community programs, we aim to create safe and fun environments for the city’s youth where we can share about Jesus with them, empowering them to believe in and follow Jesus and live out their faith.
As someone who remembers the guidance and encouragement from my past youth leaders, I am so excited and feel incredibly blessed to come onboard with YFC. I am looking forward to the opportunities to continue pouring into the youth and see them grow into the purpose-driven, faith-filled people that God created them to be!
