We have a few different options for summer camps this year! Details and registration below.
August 10-14 | New Location, same creative fun and friends! For ages 10-15 years.
Created to Create offers young people opportunities to explore different aspects of the Arts. At Art Camp this summer, you will learn how to make Gelli Prints, Sculpting with various materials, painting, and so much more. At the end of camp, we will celebrate with an Art Show showcasing all of our work. Camp is located at Grace Church in Port Hope.
Desaree Rosskopf is returning this year as our Art Instructor. Desaree is a public programmer with the Kitchener Public Library and is in popular demand for her Art programming. She is also a Sensory Programmer and is ready to incorporate both of these things in a day of camp.
Each day, we will learn 2 art mediums and experiment in different ways we can create beautiful creations with them. During the day, there will be time to create, make new friends, relax over lunch, enjoy some snacks, and talk about life in relationship with our Creator. We will also have the opportunity to create both indoors and outdoors.
Registration is open to youth between the ages of 10 – 15 years. Registration fee is $100 per youth.
NYU offers family discounts and subsidies. Call 905-373-4707 or email info@nyfc.org for more information. There are 15 spots available for this camp.
All art supplies, snacks, and a t-shirt are supplied by NYU. Youth will bring their own water bottle and a lunch to camp each day.

July 13-17 | What an exciting way to begin your summer with a week at Drama Camp!
All youth between the ages of 10 – 15 are welcome to attend. We will have 15 spots available. Registration is now up and running. During the summer, we present an original short, one-act play – to ensure that all campers have an equal opportunity to flex their dramatic skills, we will close the registration on June 30th. Register below, the fee is $100 per youth.
We do offer a family discount and subsidies on request. Thee are 15 spots available for this camp.
Camp is located at Grace Church in Port Hope, and each camp day begins at 9:30 am and ends at 3:00 pm. During the day, there will be drama exercises and games to expand the camper’s understanding of the acting process, a couple of times for snacks, and time where we try and get outside for some fun in the sun, and of course, we will be working on our lines, creating characters, and staging the play. Our performance will happen at 7 pm, on Friday, July 17th at 7 pm at Grace Church.
Our director/writer is Aaron Wilkinson, and we are grateful and excited to have him once again for Drama Camp. We are staffed by 3 other staff and all four of our staff encourage potential and hope in each youth that comes to camp.
Youth will receive snacks and a t-shirt for their week at camp. Campers are asked to bring a water bottle, and once they have it, their script, along with a lunch each day.
We hope you can join us! Call 905-373-4707 or email info@nyfc.org for more information.
Drama Camp Registration
July 27-31 | Create Camp is a camp offered by two of Northumberland Youth Unlimited’s programs: Youth With A
Purpose and Created to Create.
The NYU staff, Connie and Christine, are combining their passion for creativity and offering the first-ever Create Camp at First Baptist Church, the week of July 27 – 31, from 10 am to 1 pm each day at First Baptist Church in Port Hope.
Campers will choose one of two options to focus on for this week of creativity:
1. Craft with Connie – Each day, you will have opportunities to learn a new creative skill that will result in a potential new hobby and will encourage your skill as a crafter!
2. Stop Motion Animation with Christine – You will learn how to tell a story through the medium of Stop Motion Animation. Learning the techniques of SMA to create a video, you will have the opportunity to become a creator of fun content to share with family and friends. We will look at different styles of SMA, but will focus mainly on LEGO or Claymation Animation. Campers will need access to a tablet or smartphone with the Stop Motion Studio App loaded on it. (We will have a couple of these devices available if a camper doesn’t have access to such).
At the end of the week, we will invite family and friends to view the Crafts by our Crafters and to watch the videos of our Animators. This will take place at noon on Friday, July 27th.
As we encourage our Potential, we will explore Hope each day as we gather for a short Talk Time over snacks.
Registration is open to youth between the ages of 10 – 15 years. Registration fee is $50 per youth. NYU offers family discounts and subsidies. You will have to choose one of the two creative options at registration. There are 10 spots available for each choice.
Needed for camp: Water bottle, and smartphone/tablet if choosing SMA
Supplied by camp: Snacks, Camp T-shirt, Crafting supplies, and Bricks and Minifigs as needed.
Call 905-373-4707 or email info@nyfc.org for more information.
