Connor joined the YFC Portage team as the Carberry Satellite Director in January 2025. As a youth, Connor heard about the gospel through the previous drop in ministry in Carberry (43 Main) which was run by a local church, almost completely volunteer based. During Covid, the church could not sustain the ministry, and decided it was time to sell the drop in center. After growing up as a drop in kid, and then after highschool volunteering at that same drop-in, Connor and the church community knew that something else needed to take the place of 43 Main to serve as an outreach to the youth in Carberry. So, after working towards an apprenticeship in the automotive industry, and years of pulling wrenches, he felt the calling to join the YFC team and launch a ministry in Carberry!

Born and raised in Carberry, Connor has built strong relationships within the community, and wants to share with those around him the hope and joy that comes with knowing Jesus as Lord. Connor hopes to share his passions for horsepower, hands-on activities, and adventure with the youth of Carberry, as well as leading them to have a deep relationship with Jesus Christ. Connor enjoy’s anything that gets him outside (during the summer that is) like mountain biking, hiking, soccer and helping in the veggie garden. But in the winter, he enjoys slowing things down and plays curling, going to bible study, and helps around the church serving on the church board. He has a lovely wife, Samantha, who is expecting their first baby in May (2025), as well as a cat and a dog.
