Inspiring, equipping and challenging YFC | Youth Unlimited missionaries to be spiritually vibrant, resilient and missionally effective.
I was first introduced to the ministry of YFC | Youth Unlimited when I was a young single mother at 19 years of age. I did not have the opportunity to serve with YFC at that time, and it would be a while before that door opened. Still, after many years of serving God and raising a family, the opportunity was presented to me, and I took it with joy and excitement!
I have served with Youth for Christ Canada since 2001, starting as a volunteer and joining as a staff member in 2003. I began my work as a frontline ministry worker in Minto, ON, sharing Jesus and serving the youth of my community through youth centres, school programs, and small group ministry. The programs I led ranged in age from kindergarten to young adulthood.
In 2008 I accepted a role with the National Office as the Eastern Regional Development Coordinator, training and directing staff through the organization’s credentialing process while continuing frontline work until 2010.
After 11 years of serving as the regional training coordinator, I accepted the role of Spiritual Mentoring Advisor, to encourage and build a mentoring culture within the organization.
It’s been quite a privilege serving young people through the ministry of YFC. Thank you for your partnership and your investment in reaching our youth for Christ.
