The Long Road In: Wheel-y Good Neighbours

A Wanderers Project | June – September

What happens when you swap a car for a bike and a map for a conversation? This summer, the Wanderers film project is hitting the road with a mission: to truly see our neighbors. From the shores of Christian Island for the Pow Wow to the rolling farmland of Perth County’s Mennonite communities, we are embarking on a fundraising bike trip centered on intentional presence.

We often live alongside distinct communities without ever taking the time to truly know them. Through our lens and our pedals, we’re bridging that gap. We’re filming this journey to help our youth and partners see the beauty in the ‘distinct’ neighborhoods right in our backyard. Follow along as we capture the ride, celebrate the diversity of our physical neighbors, and share the story of what happens when we slow down enough to listen.
