… but for those who like gravy …

I am the proud husband of Bonnie Burns and the proud father of Matthew and Ashlynn Burns. A graduate of Eastern Pentecostal Bible College (’99) and a recent graduate from the Arrow Leadership Program (32nd Class) I ‘ve had the privilege of serving young people (sometimes old people too ☺) in various capacities for the past 16 years.

From 2001 – 2005 I served as Youth Pastor at Sheridan Park Alliance Church in Mississauga. In 2005, I was employed by St. Mary’s Counseling Service in Kitchener to create and facilitate an early-intervention program for high school students with problematic drug use. Then, in 2007, I transitioned into the role of Youth Counselor with Lutherwood – Mental Health Services, working at a shelter for teens between the ages of 12 and 15. In 2009 I began serving at Southside Community Church in Milton, once again as Youth Pastor, for 6 years.

I have been serving with YFC since Feb. 2016 as the Satellite Director in Milton, Ontario under the local identity of RE:SOUL.

My heart is one that beats for youth, evangelism, and issues of poverty – both locally and globally. It beats music and triathlons from time to time too! ☺
