Youth Outreach Worker

Andrew began serving with Kawartha Lakes Youth Unlimited in 2018 as a volunteer Sensei running a martial arts program in Fenelon Falls at a local church.  In 2021, Andrew left full-time municipal work to pursue part-time ministry with KLYU.  He leads our martial arts program on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings in Fenelon Falls.  He continues to be connected with his sister club in Coboconk, Shizuka Na Arashi Bujutsu (Peaceful Storm Martial Arts).  He currently assists in the weight-room program and classroom environment at Fenelon Falls Secondary School.  He looks forward to seeking more opportunities to work with self-defense, martial arts, or other sports as part of the school’s physical education program or after-school activities.  It gives him great joy to mentor youth and share the love of Jesus with them in the community.
