YFC Moncton is an affiliate of Youth for Christ Canada

Here in Greater Moncton, our focus is simple: to create spaces where young people feel they belong, have fun, build meaningful relationships with caring adults, and can hear and respond to the love of Jesus.

A Generation in Need

Young people in New Brunswick are facing a deep and growing crisis:

  • 1 in 3 youth (≈30%) struggle with mental health (anxiety, depression, isolation)
  • Youth unemployment at 15.1%, significantly higher than the national average → lack of direction and hope, limiting their future. (NB unemployment rate Jan 2026)
  • 1 in 4 people in New Brunswick are immigrants or newcomers, and many youth face identity loss, cultural transition, linguistic barriers, and loneliness (*Third Culture Kids, TCK)
  • Over 20% of youth report substance use (vaping, cannabis, alcohol) continues to be a growing concern as youth look for ways to cope and escape.
  • The majority of youth have no meaningful connection to a church or spiritual support system

Behind every statistic is a young person searching for belonging, identity, and hope.

REACHING YOUTH WHERE THEY ARE

At YFC Moncton, we create spaces where youth feel they belong, build relationships, and encounter Jesus in a real and relevant way.

Three Core Ministries

  1. Community Outreach

Programs: Rise Sports (Soccer & Volleyball) + Rock Solid Youth Group

Youth programs offering sports and community spaces that foster connection, growth, and confidence in God.

  • 65+ youth reached weekly
  • Safe environments, mentoring, and faith-based teaching
  • Building trust with youth who are often far from church
  1. Leadership Development

Programs: Student-Led Clubs 

Equipping student leaders in 7 key high and middle schools to be agents of change and positive role models.

  • 40 student leaders reaching 225 students
  • Support in leading Bible studies, prayer, and outreach initiatives
  • Developing confident, faith-driven leaders influencing their peers
  1. Critical Care

Program: Rooted & Rising (TCK Ministry)

Social, emotional, and spiritual support for Third Culture Kids (TCK) and families in transition. 

  • Supporting migrant and multicultural youth
  • Addressing identity, grief, and transition
  • Providing healing, mentorship, and Christ-centered guidance

TCK is a term used for young people who have grown up between cultures.

Why We Need Your Support

God is opening doors, and youth are responding — but our capacity is limited.

We currently face:

  • Limited funding for staff and leadership
  • Dependence on rented or temporary spaces
  • Need for equipment and program resources

Youth For Christ Canada

Youth for Christ Canada engages and equips young people to know and follow Jesus, sharing God’s love, truth, and hope with youth from all backgrounds.

Through locally led chapters across the country, we deliver community-based programs that reflect both national best practices and local needs.
