Michael first got involved in with Niverville YFC in 2014 as a summer worker, and continued in that capacity for several summers, volunteering throughout the year in between. What kept him invested in the Drop-In was the way in which it ministers to others. Being an extension of the church, crafting a welcoming atmosphere while meeting youth where they are at by walking alongside them through the many seasons life brings.

These days, as the male program director, Michael supervises one of our weekly open drop-in evenings with his wife, Savannah, and plans events with youth throughout the year in order to foster connection, opportunities for mentorship, and growth. In the summer he operates a barbecue club for young men and teaches them how to cook. If he is not around the Drop-In, he will most likely be spending time with his wife and family or relaxing playing video games involving capsule monsters or wizards from the moon.
