Introducing a NEW Club to the NYU roster of Afterschool/Evening clubs – a joint project by Youth With a Purpose (Connie’s program) and Created to Create (Christine’s program) – CREATE CLUB.

This new club is in partnership with First Baptist Church in Port Hope. Create Club will run on Thursdays from 6-8 pm beginning April 2nd and running to June 4th. Youth joining will have the option to sign up for:

1. Craft with Connie, or
2. Stop Motion Animation with Christine

Each evening will feature a God Talk Time, a couple of games, and lots of time to create in your chosen medium: crafts or stop motion animation.

Stop Motion Animation with Christine

Learn how to use your tablet/smartphone to take pictures and assemble them into a stop motion video. Your creative side will be challenged as you create a story by making it look like an object such as a mini figure can move and jump. We will also look at Claymation during our creative sessions together. Each youth that signs up for Stop Motion should have access to a tablet or smartphone with the Stop Motion Studio Pro App loaded on it. If this is not possible please contact christine@nyfc.org and we can arrange to have a device available to use.

Craft with Connie

Connie will have a craft per evening to work on. Skills will be demonstrated and volunteers will help guide youth through the steps. All supplies are supplied by Northumberland Youth Unlimited.

Craft and Video Show

On Thursday June 4 we will invite family and friends to come and view our creations at our first ever Craft and Video show at 7 pm that evening.

Limited Space

Thee are 15 spots per group available. We are asking that youth choose before coming to the first evening so we can be prepared for the number of youth interested in that medium. Please register below. There is a registration fee o $25.00 per youth. Group discount is available for families and subsidies are available upon request.
