Tony Posthumus is an incredible leader that genuinely cares for the well-being of others. Before joining the team, Tony worked for twelve years in a youth correctional facility. Through this job, Tony worked with high-risk male youth and helped lead a team of twenty-one youth workers. His passion for supporting young people and connecting with the local community paved the way for his role as the Executive Director for Northumberland Youth Unlimited™.

Outside of his work at Northumberland Youth Unlimited™, you can find Tony enjoying the outdoors. One of Tony’s favourite outdoor activities is portaging (canoe camping) with his wife. He finds being outdoors with no cell service and enjoying creation refreshing. Other outdoor activities Tony enjoys are his early morning walks and bike rides. Occasionally Tony will play a few songs on his guitar and sing.

The way that Tony connects with people and his easy-going personality makes him a great leader. He understands that when you add value to someone, trust is built and there is an open door for relationships. Ensuring that people are heard, valued, equipped and empowered are among Tony’s top priorities. Tony is involved in Cheer Crew and serves as the Director of Player Wellness and Team Chaplain of the Cobourg Cougars Jr. A Hockey Club through Hockey Ministries International.
