Prayer Burn: Spring 2024

What’s a “Burn?” The purpose of the Burn is to create a space, place and time for Christian believers to gather together to pray and seek God’s face for our city.

The Burn began with a small group of friends with a heart for prayer, and quickly grew into over 200 believers from various churches in Peterborough and surrounding areas coming together to seek God for our city. We are excited to bring it back this year!

You’re invited!

As a beloved believer/church/ministry in our city, we are excited to share with you that The Bridge Youth Centre will be hosting TWO prayer burn events for our city this spring! We would like to invite you to the upcoming 24-Hour Prayer Burn events on March 16 and April 27 at The Bridge Youth Centre.

The Heart of the Event

Our goal in having the 24-Hour Prayer Burn is to lift up the name of Jesus and pray for our city. Our vision is to bring everyone together from different churches, areas, denominations and walks of life to be unified in prayer for the brokenness of our city. Our hope is to be able to facilitate an atmosphere of worship, prayer and petition.

 

Date, Time and Location

Both events will be held at The Bridge Youth Centre, 256 Brock Street, downtown Peterborough. Parking is available on site. The dates and times are as follows:

  • Saturday, March 16 at 10 am to Sunday, March 17th at 10 am
  • Saturday, April 27 at 10 am to Sunday, April 28th at 10 am

 

How Can I Participate?

  1. Come pray with us during the 24 hours on the two Burn dates—drop in for as short or long as you want!
  2. If you are a church, invite your congregation to come pray with us.
  3. Submit a worship team from your church to help lead and facilitate a time of worship and prayer.
  4. Send volunteers from your church to help with set up, take down, and welcome table.
