Scripture: Proverbs 3:3-6

Part 1: Inward Focus
As we prepare our hearts for this time in prayer let’s take a moment to breathe our theme for May. Breathe in on the word Faith and breathe out on the word Trust.
Let’s do this 2 more times
The passage we will be hearing today is about Integrity through faith and when we trust him we create Intimacy with God. When we live with integrity we find favor, when we have intimacy with God he will lead you where to go. As I read Proverbs 3:3-6, turn your thoughts quietly toward the Lord, asking him to open your heart to this word.
Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
What does it mean to you to bind love and faithfulness around your neck?

If you are comfortable, Imagine holding the things that you are not trusting to the Lord in your hands and when and if you are ready open your hands to release them.

Part 2: Outward Focus
As I reread this passage, think of the youth that are in your life.
Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Think of the youth that you know are loving and faithful. Pray for them.
Pause

Part 3: We end this time together with: John Wesley’s Covenant Prayer
I am no longer my own, but yours.
Put me to what you will, place me with whom you will.
Put me to doing, put me to suffering.
Let me be put to work for you or set aside for you, praised for you or criticized for you.
Let me be full, let me be empty.
Let me have all things, let me have nothing.
I freely and fully surrender all things To your glory and service.
And now, O wonderful and holy God, Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer, You are mine, and I am yours.
So be it.
And the covenant which I have made on earth, let it also be made in heaven.
Amen.
