As Campus Life Director, it has been Claudio’s privilege to partner with local schools in the Westshore Communities. The programs have been built on the idea of relational mentorship, which specifically is being present in young people’s lives.

Claudio lives in one of the communities that he works in as he feels that plays a major role in practicing presence in people’s lives. He has the opportunity to interact with youth while living his daily life, at the grocery store, the local library, his kid’s soccer games, etc. He believes “youth need healthy, emotional and spiritual relationships.” He loves sharing his lived experiences as a form of mentoring young people and also hearing their lived experiences as they walk out life together.

Claudio lives in the Westshore community of Colwood with his amazing wife Heidi, who works in the same school district as Claudio as a Student Engagement Facilitator. They have three kids: Lennon, Judah and Ruby, which means they are busy parents spending time on the soccer pitch, at swim club and gymnastics. In his spare time, you will find Claudio smoking sausage or fish or pork chops or whatever else he can put in his old school smokehouse!
