Born in Ottawa as an armed forces brat, and after living all over Canada, John eventually ended up on the wet coast. As an IT manager back in the 80’s, logistics driver/manager or as a bookkeeper, John has always been known for his attention to detail. His career path has gone in numerous directions (not necessarily what he would have chosen) but as he has been faithful to follow God’s leading, God has faithfully provided for him and his family.

While growing his bookkeeping business, in 2014 John was given the opportunity to be involved with YFC Victoria, providing bookkeeping services on a contract basis. This eventually led to a part-time position and in 2018 John joined the staff of YFC.

A fanatic when it comes to balancing the books, there is nothing that annoys him more than not being able to find a discrepancy of 1 or 2 cents! He has been so appreciated for his patience as he’s worked with our sloppiness, changing systems and growing staff, and for all the things he does behind the scenes that allow us to reach the youth of the Victoria region. We are glad to have him!
