While driving through Pauquachin First Nation on the Saanich Peninsula in 2005, Rick sensed God say, “You will be coming back here.” God then opened the door at Pauquachin and later to other to indigenous communities in the Greater Victoria area and in Duncan.

Rick is passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with Indigenous youth and seeing them become devoted Christ followers. His vision is to empower Indigenous youth to boldly share their love of Jesus Christ with faith in action.

Rick was born in Macklin, Saskatchewan (yes, he is a proud stubble-jumper). He is married and has two grown sons. He loves backpacking, camping and canoeing in the great outdoors, and he enjoys building and repairing things in his workshop.
