In February of 1994, the Switch Yard building was purchased. Since then it has become our home. It is where we meet and connect with our youth; and it is our desire that it will always be a place where our youth feel safe, loved and supported no matter what may be going on in their lives or in the world around us. We are so thankful that we have this space which makes it possible for us to build relationships and share the love of Christ with the youth in Bancroft and the surrounding area. Over the years this has been done through programs and events such as drop-in, board games nights, mentoring, a community youth group, a youth Bible Study, a community ball hockey league, the Ladies Spa Night and our annual BBQ & Auction. All of which has been made possible by the incredible team of volunteers, prayer partners and financial support this community of Bancroft has blessed us with.

In 2024, we celebrate 30 years of ministry at The Switch Yard Youth Centre! To celebrate all those years of serving youth in Bancroft, the Switch Yard now has a new look! In order to stay with the railway theme, the new icon is inspired by a railroad switch stand, which is a device enabling trains to be guided from one track to another. The signal (the top part of the stand) indicates, to the engineer, which track the train will travel down while in its current position. At the Switch Yard our desire is to be a signal for local youth, directing them to the ‘track‘ of a lifelong commitment to Christ as they begin to comprehend that He is reaching down for them out of sacrificial love.
