Community Update
September 3, 2026
We want to let our community know that, at this time, we are unable to use our Emsdale building due to circumstances beyond our control. We want to emphasize that this is through no fault of the wonderful volunteers, supporters, staff, or youth involved in this ministry.
We are very grateful to the Township of Perry for working with us and helping us navigate this situation as we search for a new location. In the meantime, our ministry continues. Our programs are continuing at the Emsdale Community Centre, and our programming in Novar continues as well.
Our carpentry program will also continue to operate, although it will be taking place at a different location. We will let families and the community know where this program will be held as soon as those arrangements are finalized.

Fall Programming – Coming Soon
We will be sharing details in the coming days about our September programming in both Emsdale and Novar, including where and when our children’s and teen programs will be operating. We want to make sure families know where their children and teens can continue to connect with us. Going Forward
We are trusting God to provide the right place for Youth Unlimited ™ | YFC South Almaguin to continue serving children, teens, and families throughout our communities. We believe that even when we cannot see the whole picture, God is faithful and is leading us one step at a time.
If you know of a suitable building for rent in Emsdale, Novar, Kearney, or the surrounding area, we would be very grateful if you would let us know.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support this ministry through your prayers, time, finances, and encouragement. We are truly thankful for each one of you.
Ride for Refuge
As a result of the current circumstances, we have also made the decision to postpone the Ride for Refuge fundraising event that was planned for October. We will share more information about a future date when we are able to do so.
Carpentry for Youth
Giving youth the opportunity to gain skills, Kingdom Builders is more than just carpentry.
This is a program that teaches specific skills while mentoring and supporting youth through this challenging stage of life and also provides the skills youth can use to help prevent youth homelessness.
