Dear friends,
This season has been centered on building consistent, meaningful connections with youth—both in person and increasingly in online spaces.
We continue to invest in one-on-one mentorship and personal training, creating environments where young people can grow in confidence while opening the door to deeper conversations around life, identity, and purpose. These moments of connection remain at the core of our work.
We’ve also had opportunities to support youth in practical, tangible ways. Recently, we were able to help a young person get access to a bike, giving them greater independence and the ability to stay connected within the community. It’s a simple step, but one that can make a significant difference in a young person’s day-to-day life.
At the same time, we’re placing a growing emphasis on connecting with youth in the spaces they already spend time—online. Through consistent content creation, we’re engaging youth with short, relevant videos that reflect their world and invite conversation. This has become an important extension of our ministry, allowing us to stay present and connected beyond face-to-face interactions.
Alongside this, we’ve been developing our “The Deal With…” series, designed specifically for ministry partners and supporters. This content helps unpack current youth culture trends, challenges, and questions in a clear and accessible way, giving greater insight into what young people are navigating today and how we can better support them.
Looking ahead, we are preparing for this summer’s project: The Long Road Between: Discovering Our Neighbours. This initiative will take us by bike into nearby communities, including Mennonite communities and Christian Island, with the goal of learning, listening, and building relationships. As we document the journey, we’ll be sharing these stories with the youth we serve—while also creating opportunities for those communities to better understand and connect with young people.
Thank you for your continued support of the work happening in Collingwood. It allows us to keep showing up—in person and online—in the lives of youth in meaningful and lasting ways.
With gratitude,
Aaron White
