Health Guidelines
PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY BEFORE REGISTERING. We are following the guidelines outlined by the Ministry of Health, and the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit. These are subject to change as policies are adapted. All participants will receive a clear outline of the expectations for our camp closer to our departure date. Further safety measures are as follows: Because of the close quarters of the camp facility and tent arrangements, participants should not attend camp if they: Have any of the following new or worsening symptoms or signs (symptoms should not be chronic or related to other known causes or conditions): Fever or chills; difficulty breathing or shortness of breath; cough, sore throat, trouble swallowing; runny nose/stuffy nose or nasal congestion; decrease or loss of smell or taste; nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain; and/or not feeling well, extreme tiredness, sore muscles. Have been told by a doctor, health care provider, or public health unit that you should currently be isolating (staying at home) We’ll provide ample stations for hand washing and/or hand sanitizing. The majority of our camp program occurs outside, as there are limited indoor facilities. We can provide parents and guardians with an outline of our safety plan closer to camp, if requested. If we cannot proceed with CampFire due to extenuating circumstances, a full refund will be issued. If a camper cancels within 48 hours, a refund will be issued, minus the $25 deposit, which is non-refundable.

Accommodations
Students will sleep in tents. Some youth may be be put together, provided there’s enough space. Youth will be put together with their same-gender. Arrangements can be made for youth who identify as non-binary. Siblings can be lodged together.

I, the Parent/Guardian listed above, understand that my son/daughter will be attending CampFire at Pitman’s Bay Camp Grounds from August 17-21, 2026, and will ensure that the participant has proper medical coverage. We authorize the administration of any first aid treatment necessary on the trip, and in the case of medical emergency, give permission to the Physician selected by those responsible to hospitalize and secure proper treatment for the above named participant. We understand that every effort will be made to contact parents or guardians before such action. The undersigned hereby releases and forever discharges YOUTH UNLIMITED | YFC HIGHLANDS and its servants, agents, and employees from any and all actions, causes of action, claims and demands whatsoever whether existing as of the date of this trip or arising in the future as a result of this trip.

YOUTH CONSENT – What's Expected of Me*
What’s expected of me? **THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT – READ THIS**
Safety + Respect are our two most important CampFire rules.
We ask for your patience, kindness, and respect to staff and each other. Disrespect, harassment, bullying, and all kinds of inflammatory or hate speech will not be tolerated.
You may not go off anywhere alone, at any time. (Except the bathroom or your tent)
You must be in your assigned tents (your own tent) and quiet by 11:00pm.
You must not go out of the camp boundaries, which we’ll outline when we arrive.
You may not go in anyone else’s tent under any circumstances.
No inappropriate interactions with others (you know what we are talking about).
Cigarettes are only permitted in the designated area; we will show you when we arrive. Do not dispose of butts in the woods or on the grass.
NEW No smoking on property – we are working on arrangements for those who may require it
No energy drinks – due to issues in the past and due to the health risks these pose to minors we are no longer allowing energy drinks at Campfire
You may not go into the water without a lifeguard present.
You will be assigned to a team which will be your small group for activities and team time.
Unless otherwise specified, all activities are required; there will be plenty of free time.
You must have fun…

**ZERO TOLERANCE**
• vape pens are not permitted at camp. If a camper is found using one or in possession of one, they have the option to surrender the vape pen for safekeeping until CampFire is over, or parents may be called for pickup.
• alcohol, or cannabis in any form (You will be sent home.)
• illegal drugs (Please note: The possession and use of any illicit drug on this trip is strictly prohibited. You will be sent home)

Payment
CampFire registration is $110.00, of which, the first $25.00 is a non-refundable deposit. If only paying the deposit today, the remaining balance of $85.00 will be required on or before Friday, August 7.
