CampFire 2024

Join us August 19-23 at Pitman’s Bay for CampFire 2024! We are so excited to host you and your friends for one of the best weeks of summer! Find out all of the details you need to know below, as well as online registration and payment options to secure your spot.

CampFire is a four day camp experience for youth between the ages of 13-18  This year we are returning to Pitman’s Bay campground in Utterson (Muskoka) for our fifth year! CampFire runs from Monday, August 19 – Friday, August 23, 2024.  Camp is five (5) days this year!  This relaxed schedule, high-fun camp is run by our Youth Unlimited staff, and has been running for over 25 years.

This year’s camp registration is $110, with a $25 non-refundable deposit to secure your spot.  If the registration cost is prohibitive for your camper to participate, please reach out, as we do have sponsorship opportunities available.

Who Can Come:

  • Youth aged 13-18

What To Bring:

    • Deodorant!
    • Sleeping bag and pillow
    • Warm clothes for cool nights
    • Cool clothes for warm days
    • Rain Gear (boots, coat, etc.)
    • Swimwear and towel**
    • Flashlight
    • Tent (if you have one)
    • Sunscreen & Bug Spray**
    • Water Bottle**

Our Zero Tolerance Policy:

  • Possession or consumption of alcohol or cannabis
  • Vaping
  • Illegal or non-prescription drugs
  • Fighting or weapons of any kind
  • Hate speech, harassment, or bullying of any kind
  • Male/female inappropriate interaction (you know what we mean!!) 

Participation in any of the above will result in an automatic trip home without refund.

Health Policy

PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY BEFORE REGISTERING. We are following the guidelines outlined by the Ministry of Health, and the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit. These are subject to change as policies are adapted. All participants will receive a clear outline of the expectations for our camp closer to our departure date. 

Further safety measures are as follows:

  • Because of the close quarters of the camp facility and tent arrangements, participants should not attend camp if they: 
    • Have any of the following new or worsening symptoms or signs (symptoms should not be chronic or related to other known causes or conditions): 
      • Fever or chills; difficulty breathing or shortness of breath; cough, sore throat, trouble swallowing; runny nose/stuffy nose or nasal congestion; decrease or loss of smell or taste; nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain; and/or not feeling well, extreme tiredness, sore muscles. 
    • Have been told by a doctor, health care provider, or public health unit that you should currently be isolating (staying at home) 
  • We’ll provide ample stations for hand washing and/or hand sanitizing.
  • The majority of our camp program occurs outside, as there are limited indoor facilities. 
  • We can provide parents and guardians with an outline of our safety plan closer to camp, if requested. 
  • If we cannot proceed with CampFire due to extenuating circumstances, a full refund will be issued. If a camper cancels within 48 hours, a refund will be issued, minus the $25 deposit, which is non-refundable.
