Important information regarding Anne Orsi and her summer missions role with Lakefield Youth Unlimited / Kawartha Youth For Christ.
Dear Friend of Anne,
We are glad to have Anne working with us for May and June 2019. She will be helping to coordinate and implement programming for youth ages 8-14. This will include organizing day trips and activities, participating in community events, and creating opportunities for discipleship.
Lakefield Youth Unlimited (LYU) serves the community on a holistic level with a focus on youth and families, having a relational and organizational influence to advance lasting, impactful change.LYU’s Christian influence develops holistic change through intentional programming. Some of the programs that Anne is involved with are:
Intellectual: Reading to students in their classrooms at Lakefield District Public School (LDPS) to encourage higher thinking levels about the “what” and “why” behind what they are reading.
Physical: Ping Pong Club at LDPS for grades 3-8 every Wednesday and Friday during the second nutrition break and Thursday Gym Nights for grades 6-8 to develop new skills and abilities in sport for all skill levels.
Emotional: Kindness Club at LDPS for grades 1-5 teaches children through play some critical life values that is intentional to developing respect, honesty, kindness, patience, and more.
Spiritual: Discipleship program (M3) at the LYU Office for youth in grades 6-8 who are seeking to know more about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit based on the Alpha program.
Environmental: Lettuce farming with two select youth in grade 8, in a paid position, to learn to work in an outdoor environment and care for the world in which they live.

Anne needs people willing to partner with her in two key areas: prayer and financial support.
Anne is working in a spiritual battleground that needs intercessors to lift her and her needs up to God! Will you pray for Anne? Please contact her to see how you can pray.
The second aspect of partnership, equally fundamental, is that of financial support. God supplies the needs of His workers through the giving of His people. We were planning on having Anne work with us for 8 weeks fully funded but have only been able to secure 7 weeks of funding through Canada Summer Jobs. We are looking for funding for 1 week of her contract. Through holding garage sales Anne has been able to raise some funds but we are in need of $500.00. Would you consider being a part of her financial support?
We would ask you to prayerfully consider these requests. Anne’s support team is just that – a team. Without the whole team helping with prayer and financial support, she will have difficulty fulfilling this opportunity for the summer. If God is directing you to join her either as a prayer, financial partner, or in any other way, please go to http://youthunlimitedkaw.com/donate/ at your earliest convenience. If online is not favourable then please make all cheques payable to Youth Unlimited (please memo “Anne Orsi”). All gifts are tax-deductible charitable donations and will only be used for Anne’s support. Income tax receipts will be issued at the end of each tax year.
Thank you for your role in supporting Anne on the mission field in Lakefield. She looks forward to sharing the stories of how God used her this May & June, as a result of your care for her and support for this important work.
