COMMUNITY MATTERS

better together.

We at Station 7 strongly believe that no one wants to live life alone.

We provide a strong sense of community, and ultimately family for the youth of our area by offering numerous ways to get plugged into our programs and services designed to help them reach their full potential.

We’re better together.

Station 7's Programs

Youth Drop-in

Station 7- Chateauguay runs a bilingual youth drop-in centre. At our centre, we offer youth a variety of activities, including pool table, foosball, video games, board games and a very popular low-cost snack bar in a safe and dynamic space.    Our programs and activities differ from season to season to best meet the needs of our youth.  Music fills the centre, and special events are always being added to the calendar.  The staff and volunteers have a heart to help youth through the bumps of adolescence in a non-judgmental way, sharing the love of God through support, example and discussions.

Teen drop-in is reserved for high school students, aged 12 to 18.

SOMETHING OUT OF NOTHING…

A fun and interactive introduction to working with tools, planning and creating with wood!

Station 7 is blessed to have a fully functional woodworking shop with its own entrance and designated space on the ground floor of the Chateauguay Youth Unlimited building.  The SHOP program provides kids with the opportunity to learn real woodworking skills and how to use power tools, equipping them for “real-life” and building them up in confidence.

Group classes are run throughout the year, with a focus on holiday and seasonal projects. Classes are offered for different age groups and levels of skill. From flower boxes and birdhouses to chairs and decorative items- teens will have many opportunities to get creative.

The Shop is run by dedicated staff and local craftsmen who serve as volunteers.

Station 7 Camps

Campfires, marshmallows, swimming and sports…

From traditional “sleep-away” camps to “day camp” and the newest covid-friendly “virtual camps”, Station 7 is pleased to offer a bunch of super-fun opportunities for youth to live the enriching experience of CAMP.

Be the One/Identity One

“Be the one” allows youth to grow in experience, skill and empathy through team-oriented volunteer opportunities, all while being trained up and encouraged to do so effectively.

This program enhances a youth’s confidence, builds character and even provides some important work experience. Above all else, “Be the one” helps teens to make a difference in their own communities and abroad!

Mentoring

A more focused opportunity for youth to receive personalized, ongoing support, encouragement and insight from one of our caring staff members. See youth soar to new heights as they are fanned from spark to flame through the enrichment that a mentoring relationship can bring!

AT A GLANCE

OUR AREA

We are pleased to offer services to all youth, with a focus on our own community and surrounding areas. Chateauguay, Kahnawake, Mercier and Lery make up the vast majority of our participants.

WHO WE SERVE

Station 7 offers free programs and services to all youth aged 11 through 25 without discrimination. With a focus on English services and activities, even marginalized individuals lacking support are provided with an array of resources and fun, otherwise difficult to find in our area, due to language barriers. Cyclical poverty, abuse and lack of support are common experiences as lived by the many youth we serve.

WHOLE PERSON CARE

Montreal Youth Unlimited believes that whole-person care is essential to ensuring young people thrive as they grow. Through programs that encourage positive mental, social, spiritual, and physical health- youth are built up in their resilience and capacity to give back to their community as they experience both trials and triumphs in life.
