Earl Slimmon

Position: Food Services Assistant

Earl and his wife Maureen retired to live on the Lee River near Camp Cedarwood after working in healthcare for over 40 years each. Their daughter was a camper at Cedarwood during the late 1990”s and returned later as a lifeguard. She let him know of an opening for volunteer kitchen help knowing that was cooking for others was something Earl enjoyed. Not really knowing what he was getting into, but compelled, Earl applied, and was accepted.

“It has been a pleasure and a lot of fun working with the many volunteers from all over the world providing the services at Cedarwood. I have been
blessed with being a part of a Christian community dedicated to giving young people the opportunity to learn about Jesus and see how he works in our lives and how Jesus can be a part of theirs.”
