GIVE TO PERRY YOUTH

Well we started off 6 years ago and I had made my 5 year plan. And we finally made it to the big dream I had. And that was a Youth Center. It has been a lot of fun over the years being able to have on-site jobs to take the youth to, which enabled teaching them more than what I could in the class. Plus to be able to meet and talk to the clients. Let me tell you we have had a tremendous amount of people that we have been able to do stuff for. 

We have also been able to make an online store for people to buy products enabling customers to ask for special orders for myself and the youth to build. The youth grow and it’s exciting to see them when they get paid for their work. The smiles and the gratitude from being able to provide a service to someone is priceless.  In this, I get to share and talk about Christ in the many different ways that God has shown me that he would like to use me. 

Over this last year God has moved in a mighty way. The community is excited, the town is excited at the opportunity to rent a shop in Emsdale.  Money has been coming in and volunteers have stepped in to get us up and running. Restaurants have offered to make food for all of us as we renovate.  We are grateful to have many people working with us to grow and teach so many more youth. As we have moved into another town with keeping roots where we started. 

We have also been able to partner with the Table Soup Kitchen. As they will be putting a hub in our new Youth Center for the community to have closer access to food provision and some clothing. 

Another amazing thing that God has done was to bring a whole bunch of people together to help walk with me and encourage me, plus help bring in the funds we need to keep our doors open to the youth.  We also have some other programs running, such as small engines, Community Serve, Project Serve, trips, camp and events.

A prayer that I have is that we would get more businesses in our area to help out. 

This has been my big story, and when we are obedient, the excitement never stops. The Lord continued to show himself as we kept moving forward getting things ready for the youth to come and use our facilities. 

May 30th – we are looking forward to our grand opening day so that everyone can witness the working of God for what he has done through a man with obedience to share the hope of Jesus to many people through some unique ways.
