Founded in 2008, Honeymoon Bay Lodge & Retreat is a Christ-centred, not-for-profit retreat centre on beautiful Vancouver Island. We are conveniently located in the Cowichan Valley, just 30 minutes west of Duncan and 75 minutes from both Nanaimo and Victoria.

Since 2017, our centre has been a ministry of Youth for Christ Canada and is dedicated to the training and care of nearly 1000 YFC staff ministering to at-risk youth in over 300 communities across Canada. As part of the YFC National Resiliency Team, our primary mandate is to provide a place for rest, renewal and growth in a restorative setting.

When facilities are available, the centre is also an ideal setting for workshops, conferences, spiritual direction and community events requiring accommodation, as well as for individuals seeking a place for personal renewal and restoration. The centre is wheelchair accessible and has 17 beautifully appointed suites, a full dining experience (for groups of 10+) and versatile meeting spaces. The facility includes a saltwater hot tub, infrared sauna, fitness room, library, local artisans gift shop, and a prayer garden.

Our team are all called to the ministry of Hospitality. The gift of hospitality is a spiritual gift that creates space and time for God to “Be” with people. From our welcoming front desk people to our very conscientious cleaning crew, to our kitchen staff that believe good food is the love of God made edible, our team cares for people to be with God. It is a privilege to work alongside such dedicated people. We all share a common desire to see people enjoy the retreat as a retreat.
