Greetings, friends! My name is Troy Friesen, and I began my journey with YFC Steinbach in the summer of 2022. I have always been passionate about working with youth and young adults, and I’ve had the privilege of embracing this calling through roles in youth leadership, camp counseling, and as a Youth Worker with HSD.

I’m incredibly grateful to be part of an organization that takes a holistic approach to ministry, caring for the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of the young people we engage with each week. One of the most rewarding aspects of my role has been the opportunity to walk alongside some amazing young men in mentoring and discipleship as they navigate various seasons of life. Over time, these relationships have deepened, fostering genuine connection, honest conversations, and a shared hope for the future.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time with friends, my future wife, and my family. I love being out in nature, discovering new foods, and enjoying great music. It’s a blessing to play a small part in the incredible work that God is doing through YFC Steinbach, and I’m thankful to be part of a team that sees the hope and potential in every young person. Having the chance to express the love of Jesus and to show these youth their immense value is truly an honour.
