Growing up, sports were always a big part of his life. He started playing football and soccer around the age of 5, and having an older brother meant he always had someone to play and compete against. Once he reached grade 5 he found his love for basketball. A big part of that came from his uncles, who introduced him to the game and helped him learn and understand basketball.

He has been coaching for Compass for about a year now, but his journey with the program started when he played for Team Compass during his senior year. Coach Jay saw something in him that he did not see in himself and eventually gave him the opportunity to step into coaching.

He is fairly new to working with kids, but it has quickly become something he genuinely enjoys and loves doing. Basketball has given him so much throughout his life, from the lessons his family taught him, to the people and opportunities he has met along the way. Now, coaching gives him the opportunity to pass some of the lessons on to the next generation.
