Anthony Baker

Position: Youth Worker

Department: Staff Steinbach

Hi, I’m Anthony Baker, and I’m serving as a full-time summer youth worker with YFC Steinbach. My journey to this role isn’t just professional—it’s deeply personal. I’ve experienced the kind of hurt and struggle that many of our youth are walking through today. Because of that, I don’t just want to support them—I get them. I know what it’s like to feel stuck in the chaos, and I also know the peace that comes from encountering God in the middle of it.

One verse that has been a lifeline for me is Habakkuk 3:17–19—a reminder that even when everything seems to fall apart, I can still rejoice in the Lord. That truth has shaped who I am, and it’s what I hope to pass on to the youth I work with: that there is always hope, even in the hardest places.

There’s a lot of brokenness in our community—young people without structure, without support, just trying to survive. I believe that’s where the Church needs to show up, and where I’m called to step in. Whether it’s through programs, mentorship, or just showing up consistently, my heart is to be a light in the dark and a steady presence that points to the love of Jesus.

When I’m not at YFC, you’ll find me spending time with friends, listening to good music, and having honest conversations about life and faith. I’m grateful to be part of a team that sees young people as God sees them: full of value, full of potential, and worthy of love without conditions.

Thanks for being part of this mission—it means more than you know.
