The youth center in St-Pierre-Jolys was originally an old movie theatre! When we acquired the building in 2006, we developed a three phase plan for renovations:

• Phase 1 was to make it operational as a youth center. This included levelling the floor, expanding the stage, and re-building a wall that had previously been the movie screen.
• Phase 2 included upgrading the canteen and kitchen area, while transforming the old reel room upstairs into useable space.
• Phase 3 is our final big update to the facility, finally realizing the vision we have had for nearly 20 years!  It includes
  • updating our worn and deteriorating exterior with a brand new timberframe entrance, new doors, windows, signage and fresh paint, making our building more inviting and appealing to newcomers. 
  • An exterior wheelchair ramp, and an accessible push button for the doors. 
  • Upgrading our kitchen to meet all health code and license requirements, and creating additional storage and serving space to better engage with youth.
