Fall/Winter Programming
Sr. High (Ages: 13-17): Mondays, 7:00 PM – 9:30 PM

- Pre-season will run from September 18 – October 23.
- Regular Season will start October 30.

Cost is 50$ to register for the full season. Pre-Season is used to welcome back returning players as well as welcome new players. We spend each week mixing everyone up, getting to know the strengths and weaknesses of each player, as well as allowing all the youth to get to know each other prior to making teams. Teams will be made by the coach/mentors near the end of October and posted the week before the season starts. We cannot promise that any one player will be on any particular team, however we do look at position, skill, friendships, etc. when deciding on player placement.
You can bring your own equipment or use ours.
Jr. High (Ages: 12-14): Thursdays, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM

The Junior High League is starting back up! Due to a lack of registrations, the Junior League has been on hiatus since the pandemic. However, we are bringing it back! If we have enough registrations for a minimum of three teams, the Regular Season will begin on Nov. 9, 2023.

Mission
YFC Ball Hockey exists to share the love of Jesus Christ through the experience of hockey, teamwork, and positive adult mentorship in a safe community. Primarily composed of inner-city youth in Winnipeg, the 8 team league meets every week, playing 30+ regular season games a year plus pre-season & playoffs. Although we love winning, we strive to help the youth we connect with to excel in life, not just hockey.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Pre-Season Evaluation Camp starts in September. New players are invited to attend so rosters can be evenly made
- The Year will be broken up into 2 seasons
- The Winter Season starts in November and ends beginning of February
- The Spring Season starts in February and ends in May with an awards banquet that will include awards for both seasons
- Only one registration is needed for both seasons
- Coaches will be provided for each team of 5-7 players
- Transportation to and from games can be provided (please inquire about transportation)
- Equipment will/can be provided
- Cost is $50 per player
- Invite & Register with a friend* and each pay $40
