Our purpose here at YFC is to engage and equip our youth to know and follow Jesus, and in our young parents ministry, we add two more E’s, Empower and Encourage. It’s been an incredible year of growth and deepening connections for our young parents.

We have witnessed moms get sober and stay clean so they can parent their children. We have encouraged moms working hard to bring their babies home from foster care, while supporting others choosing to walk away from unhealthy lifestyles to follow Jesus. And we have seen moms show up to be loved when they have
nowhere else to go. All of this is growth in a good direction. We are excited to see them make these positive changes, even when they are hard. Keep praying! God is definitely at work!

As a staff team we really wanted a chance to go deeper with our young moms this year. We developed a curriculum called “Faith – Why Does It Matter?” and on a weekly basis we took time to talk about Jesus, the Bible, prayer and church. We kept it simple, interactive and had many really good discussions. We even had a mini church service. Two of our moms made the decision that night to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior! We are so excited to welcome them into God’s family!

• Please pray for the two young moms who accepted Jesus, that their faith will continue to be nurtured and grow.
• We are losing some of our amazing mom mentors and childcare volunteers, and are in need of more caring individuals to help fill these roles, please pray for these needs.
