We recently completed a new commercial kitchen in our downtown youth center, which will allow us to facilitate the preparation of meals and snacks for the youth participating in our programming. As part of the kitchen design, we installed individual cooking stations for our youth to have the opportunity to come in and learn how to cook. Each station is fully equipped with everything they need to prepare a meal. Instruction and supervision will be given while our youth cook together to achieve success. Our hope is to empower them to not only care for themselves, but to learn the skills in running a kitchen or working in a kitchen to assist in future employment opportunities.
