As a program of YFC Winnipeg, Film & Media exists to share the love of Jesus Christ through quality training and mentorship for youth who are interested and passionate about the creative arts of filmmaking and media.

Filmmaking Camp

For Ages 10-16, 85$ per youth, at YFC Activity Centre (333 King St.)  9:00AM – 3:30PM.  Campers will write, film, and edit together throughout this three day camp,  Campers will get hands-on experience and instruction!

Week 1 (Basic) – No prior experience needed

  • WHEN: July 21, 22, 23 (Monday-Wednesday)
  • TIME: 9:00-3:30pm
  • AGES: 10-17
  • WHERE: Drop-off/Pick-up at YFC Winnipeg (333 King Street)
  • COST: $85*

Week 2 (Intermediate) – Some basic filmmaking knowledge required

  • WHEN: August 11, 12, 13  (Monday-Wednesday)
  • TIME: 9:00-3:30pm
  • AGES: 10-17
  • WHERE: Drop-off/Pick-up at YFC Winnipeg (333 King Street)
  • COST: $85*

*Subsidies available, please reach out if needed

**Each camper will be responsible to bring their own bag lunch, but some snacks are provided**

Our programs are great for any skill level.  No matter your interest or experience you will be challenged through practical experience and mentorship from our team of experienced staff and volunteers.

The Crew – Tuesdays, 6:30-9:00PM

‘The Crew’ is a program of YFC Film & Media. The goal of this program is to connect youth with our trained mentors to help them develop skills in film and media arts in a group environment. 

This program is specifically geared for youth ages 12-17 but if you are younger, it can always be a conversation depending on your eagerness and experience.
Location: 333 King St.

YFC Creative Space Drop-In – Tuesdays 4:00-6:00PM

A space to enjoy creativity together.  Work on your own projects or collaborate with others. Starting January 14!
