Therese has been with YFC’s Volunteer Services Department since June, 2014 and is one of YFC’s ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) Instructors. Being a missionary with YFC wasn’t what she had envisioned at first, after studying public relations and marketing and enjoying her work in the travel industry. In early 2014 Therese felt God’s calling to serve in ministry by supporting YFC staff and volunteers as they work with Manitoba youth, using her skills, and her God-given passion. Therese feels her main calling in life is to encourage others to grow in spirit and truth and to allow God to stretch and mold one into a mature follower of Christ. Working with local and international volunteers and interns gives her this opportunity.

In her free time Therese enjoys hiking, travelling and meeting people from all walks of life, reading books, and spending time with family and friends. Therese has been a seasonal tour guide/director for international and local based travel companies since 2011, showcasing Manitoba highlights.

Therese has been married to Gorden for more than 30 years and has four sons and daughters-in-law and has just started the exciting journey of grandparenting.
