Ashley joined the YFC Winnipeg team in 2013.
Since her youth, Ashley has felt a sense of calling towards working in ministry. Over the years this led her to pursue a Christian Ministry degree while working for Athletes in Action sports ministries, and later on a Counselling degree through Briercrest Seminary. While completing her masters and looking for an internship placement, Ashley was thrilled to discover that Youth for Christ in her home city of Winnipeg had a counselling ministry. It became very clear to Ashley early on that YFC was the ministry God wanted her to be apart of. Since then, Ashley has served within Turning Point as a Counselling Intern, Counsellor, Interim Director, and Ministry Director, and is currently serving as a Senior Ministry Director for the organization.
Ashley is passionate about equipping and supporting others in the work they do. She enjoys helping a team of people function in the most healthy and productive way, so that together they can individually, and as a team, reach their potential. In her current role, Ashley equips and supports YFC Ministry Directors as they lead, fostering their spiritual, personal, and leadership growth so that they may effectively fulfill the mission of Youth For Christ.
Ashley lives on a hobby farm with her husband, Steve, and their two sons. Ashley loves spending time with her family and enjoys baking, sewing, and playing sports. Whether it is raking leaves, collecting eggs, feeding pigs, or going for walks, Ashley loves being outside amidst God’s creation.
