Derek Reimer first began working at Youth For Christ in 2020 with his wife, Kirsten. Together, they served as Community Youth Ministers in South Osborne for a number of years reaching neighbourhood youth with the Gospel and connecting them to Youth For Christ and the local church. When Kirsten started maternity leave, Derek transitioned to a new role as Maintenance Coordinator at the 50,000 sq foot YFC building. In this role he is able to use his diverse skills to repair things that break, upgrade things to function better, problem solve when things don’t work, and overall optimize the way that the building is stewarded to allow the staff to share the Gospel with youth. Derek has also been able to mentor youth from the Work Force program who work with him and coordinate volunteer groups who give their time to help out at the building. When he’s not working, Derek loves spending time with his family, playing or watching soccer, and fishing.
