YFC Canada
Judy joined YFC Winnipeg in May 2019. Having grown up on the streets in her youth, she knows first- hand the importance of finding a safe place to get help, find community and get positive peer mentorship. Judy spent her youth in and out of foster care and group homes and many times had no place to go, and nothing to eat. Her mother taught her about Jesus in her youth and during those times she prayed and pressed in to God to see her through. He did – above and beyond what she could have imagined!
Judy learned early in life that without God she is nothing and through Him she I can do all things. It is a message she wants to share with all people. It is a message that YFC shares with all who come through our doors and Judy is proud to be a part of the team.
Judy’s role is to inspire people to give and get involved to help our youth at YFC. We are all called to be a part of the solution for change in our world. Some people can give financially to help those working the frontlines, some can volunteer, some people can pray, some can donate much needed goods and supplies, and some can leave a legacy gift in their will. We are all called to leave the world a better place and we can all do something. Judy is excited to share what YFC is doing and inspire people to get involved and make our world a better place!
When not working, Judy loves to read and praise God through worship. She enjoys fishing, swimming and traveling, and loves the lake and the peacefulness of being in a boat or in nature enjoying God’s creation.
Judy and her husband, Joe, are high school sweethearts and have been together over 40 years. They have four beautiful children, Raffaele, David, Michael and Angelina who make them very proud.
